CCH's new 1041 Preparation and Planning Guide presents a fundamental review of the rules for federal income taxation of trust and estates and clear guidance on properly preparing the Form 1041.
Module 3 focuses on special tax issues for trusts and estates, with a discussion of Schedule J for certain accumulated distributions, post-mortem planning for estates, and planning for terminating trusts.
Chapter 10 reviews Schedule J of Form 1041and explains when Schedule J is required.
Chapter 11 discusses advanced planning considerations for trusts and estates including steps they can take to minimize taxes on the entity and beneficiaries. It looks at post-mortem planning for decedents' estates and planning for the termination of trusts.
